SPG WOMEN’s PRIMARY TEACHERS EDUCATION COLLEGE, RANCHI is a proud institution imparting quality education and training to women pursuing teaching as a career since 1909.
It is a minority institution established under para 300(I&II) of the constitution of India and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860. It is the only women’s teacher education college of Chotanagpur Diocese that comes under the Church of North India and rub by Chotanagpur Diocesan Education Society, Ranchi(CDES)
The college is situated in the midst of the town of Ranchi having 3 acres of land surrounded by greenery and clean surrounding provides and apt atmosphere for students to pursue the training imparted. The college has its own double storied building and two multipurpose halls and is also equipped with computer laboratory and well stocked library.
The college has permanent recognition from ERC(Eastern Regional Committee), Bhubaneswar of NCTE(National Council for Teachers Education) vide recognition (No. BR-E/E5/96) and is affiliated to JAC, Ranchi vide Reg. No. (JAC/282/06) to impart the course of PTT comprising of two academics years.

The college provides a healthy environment for all round development of the students and to give a concreate shape to their personalities, through its sound education. Nowadays the students of this college are kindling the “Lamp of Education” not only in Jharkhand but all over India.
The faculty of the college are well experience and trained to provide quality education to its students and the hard work of the college administration. The college maintained high standard of teaching and learning reflected in 100% result of the college.
